Prior to meeting Archibald, Jessamine was a doctor and specialized in psychotherapy.
In 2381, The Borg declared war on the Federation and its allies with the goal of eradication. By the time the war ended, major colonies had been destroyed, and core worlds nearly destroyed, but the Borg were no more.
After being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Jessamine barely made it out. Immediately, she dropped her psychotherapy passion and fell off the grid for a short amount of time before enrolling herself for therapy where she was diagnosed with PTSD and depression. Following her therapist's suggestion, Jessamine took a small vacation to 'rediscover herself' on the planet of Risa in 2382.
She had heard a rumor about several unsuccessful murder attempts in the area while she was visiting, which had spiked her interest and she began collecting articles and anything she could about the attempts. While strolling through a park, she heard a scream coming from an apartment building and without a second thought, ran toward it. This is where she met Archibald H. Baxter. At first, they quarreled, but quickly resorted to sharing their information with each other and tracking down the murderer.
After Risa, Jessamine followed Archibald from ship to ship with fierce loyalty until one day when he was assigned to Pasteur Station without her. |
