Time to look for the author...*** Captain's Log/Mission brief 160608 |
Supplemental (03/10/2393, 13:00 hours)
I have reviewed the message from Captain McMahon and have attached it to this log entry. Basically, Captain McMahon has denied that he even met Moonshadows and myself on that deserted world. He informed me he never even left the ship, but he and the ensign that was with him were found unvonscious aboard the shuttle they were supposed to be using. Lt. Moore has confirmed this with a seconnd-hand account of the finding of the captain and ensign aboard the Independence. While I still vividly remember the mental blow delivered to Moonshadows and I, and despite Commander Jorel's words of extreme caution, I am apt to believe this to be true. I have opened a hailing channel to the Indy and was greeted with hostility by Captain McMahon and his crew. Lt. Moore insisted all communications were being intercepted by the organization known as "the Order" and they are actually transmitting the images. Ihave continued with MY message, carefully hiding a couple clues that hopefully the real Independence crew can pick out. Lt. Moore also informed me that they can not only see the duped image of their officers, but our signal as well. Lt. Moore informed me the Independence was headed back to the system where it all started for them, so we'll be headed there as well.

FOR THE SIM:
We'll be making a slip-stream jump to the system where the Independence crew received their "augmentations." All hands are to be on high alert as there is always the possibility this is all a trap. BUT... for our sister starship and fellow Starfleet officers and crew, we must try to help.
