Captain's Log
Stardate 70187.44 (03/10/2393, 10:00 hours)
We have successfully escorted the G'rani, the sciuridae species in the "mysterious ship," back to Outpost 383. I spoke, in length with Se'quet, the ship's captain. He has informed me that the G'rani are fairly new to spcae travel, ouside of their own system. That is why they were observing the outpost, to try and determine if it were sage to make contact with them. He and his people are quite grateful to find out the stories they have heard about the Federation are quite untrue. I have provided him with full accounts (and logs that have been made public) of all contacts any Starfleet vessel has had in the Delta Quadrant. It is quite a bit of reading. I am happy to say that the Federation now has an ally in the G'rani.

FOR THE SIM:
We are departing Outpost 383 and headed out to continue our search for the Indpendence. There is rumor of a sighting, near Devore space, and as much as I dread going back there, we do need to check it out. So, that will be the direction we're headed. All hands should be alert and ready.
