Captain's Log
Stardate 69009.22 (01/04/2392, 09:00 hours)
The science vessel, U.S.S. T'Neera has gone missing in an area out beyond Federation space. Command has asked us to take a slip-stream jump out to her last reported coordinates to scan for her. She was originally scanning and categorizing gas clouds out in that region of space and to see if there was any vialble source of energy for a colony world near the far Federation border.

FOR THE SIM:
We'll be dropping out of slip-stream at the start of the sim. All hands will be on alert. Sciences will be deploying the sensor net to see if they can locate the T'Neera. Tactical will be on the lookout for any hostiles that might have attacked the research vessel.
