Stardate 68407.36 (05/29/2391, 16:30 hours)
We have been keeping station on the Federation border after leading the warship away from the U.S.S. Excelsior. We have just heard from them and found out that there had been another warship that had dropped out of warp just prior to the XL's jump to warp. They managed to stave off its attack long enough to go to warp themselves, however the warship got in a lucky shot which knocked out their warp drive again. I have offered our assistance, but Captain Trellis, now back aboard the ship assured me they could handle the situation. I have offered to standby here in case they needed our assistance.
