Time to look for the author...*** Captain's Log/Mission brief 140618 |

We are holding position, outside of Federation space, just on the edge of the nebula where the ships of the Roman Empire have been opening a rift and entering our universe. It seems they have been abducting Federation citizens, mostly non-humanoid and using them for gaming purposes. We had stopped one before they had an opportunity to return to their universe with citizens of a Caitian colony, and the U.S.S. Excelsior which is currently in their universe, has detected an area where more citizens are. The Excelsior is en-route to attempt a rescue of these citizens using the Roman ship that we had captured on this side of the rift. I offered the assistance of this ship and crew, but Captain Joshua Trellis wanted to keep Federation involvement in that universe to a minimum. I do agree with his reasoning.
In the meantime, we have, both, the Abescan governor whom the XL had gone to rescue, and the Caitians which we had rescues aboard this ship. I have decided to have the Talon return the governor to his colony. I will be putting Commander Jorel in charge of getting him safely to his colony. We shall return the Caitians as soon as the Excelsior returns.

FOR THE SIM:
Because the XL sim is still involved in the rescue of the citizens, I decided we needed a side thihng to keep us busy. So Key officers will be headed to the Abescan colony with the governor.
