Stardate supplemental (04/11/2391, 19:00 hours)
We have made contact with the U.S.S. Excelsior. Thay have successfully contacted us via the inter-dimensional relay set up by our science and engineering departments. Commendations will be entered into their records for innovative thinking. In their transmission, thay have informed us that they have recovered the governor from Abesca.
Also, the intruder ship which is under the registry of the Roman Empire (quite interesting). I believe the Federation historians would be very intrested to plow through their databanks. The bridge officers have not surrendered and are currently confined TO the bridge. All ship's controls are being routed to the auxiliary bridge. Our goal now will be to restore ship's functions, learn how to use their rift opening gear, and open the rift to allow the Excelsior to return to our universe. Lt. Commander Lobren, XO of the XL (as the ship is nicknamed), has informed me that they have a virus program ready to execute that will delete all technological data, fleetwide, pertaining to the rift opening technology. That will hopefully keep them in their universe.

FOR THE SIM:
Commander Jorel and her team are still aboard the intruder ship. Out goal will be to get the ship flying again, and finding out how to operate the rift opening apparatus.
