The crew is finding this all too good to be true.
For the past sixteen months, we have had actual exploration missions. We have mapped out some interesting gas anomalies, some new possible first contacts and other wonders of this galaxy. The unusual thing is we have not had to go to red alert in all that time. I do believe this is a record for this ship. That has even included the past two weeks that we have spent along the Firegon border.
At the request of Commodore (now Rear Admiral) Fyrstk, we have returned to this sector to assist Pasteur in keeping an eye on the border. The Pathfinder, along with the admiral, were recalled to Sector 001. The former for an upgrade in her engines. They have gotten the slip-stream upgrades. I understand they are on their way back, so our extended stay at Pasteur will be over.

FOR THE SIM:
You might notice, by the stardate, I jumped ahead in time quite a bit. We will be cruising the Firegon-Federation border. All hands should be on alert for Firegon activity, even though we haven't seen any ships lately. We can never let our guard down where the Firegon are concerned.
