Time to look for the author...*** "Kafa and Eggs" |

The aroma of freshly brewwed kafa filled the room, as Chancellor Sanfer entered the inner office of Admiral Detalya. He looked to his left and saw a table set with the usual fixxings for a good morning meal.
"Good morning, Chancellor," the fleet admiral said from behind his desk. "I've been waiting for you."
"Knowing you, Deen, you've been waiting for me for about three hours now."
Deen Detalya chuckled. "You know me too well, Saan. The food was just broght in, so you are right on time."
The High Chancellor of the Starzen Conglomerate, opened each container, filling a plate with his favorites. He poured himself a cup of kafa and went over to the admiral's desk. "So, have we heard..."
The admiral's comm sounded. Detalya pressed the comm to open the channel. "Detalya here."
"Admiral. We have just received a transmission from the U.S.S. Athena. They are back in our space and enroute to Area 324."
"Very good," Detalya said into the comm, with a glance to the Chancellor. "Recall the crew of my cruiser. I want it to be ready to move out in three hours. Also direct the sector cruiser to Area 324 and have them stand by. I will also need an open channel to the Athena."
"I will get right on it, Admiral."
The comm link closed. Detalya looked across his desk to his boss. "So it begins."
"That it does, my friend." Saan took a bite from his commel-eggs. "You do realize I will be accompanying you."
Detalya smiled. "I figured as much. No way I can convince you not to?"
"No. I will not get in your way, but I feel this is important enough for me to come out from behind my desk. I want to meet our new Federation friends."
