Spock has left Vulcan and is en route to Hobus. The Enterprise goes out to help track down the rogue vessel that Worf's fleet is to meet. The star has had no more eruptions but time is growing short, it's feeding on the remains of what it destroyed and will erupt again. The eruption could destroy most of the Federation.
Meanwhile, General Worf's fleet meets the Narada but they are badly outmatched by the fully capable Narada. The Narada decimates them with the new technology. Nero wants to parlay (he must never have met a Klingon) and Worf accepts. Worf uses the invitation to stage a daring assault and cause some serious damage. Nevertheless, Nero just manages to capture Worf (using a very dishonorable method). The Enterprise arrives and Nero offers them Worf. Though anticipating attack, Data accepts the offer.
The Narada just manages to damage their engines as Worf is beamed to the Enterprise. The Narada quickly leaves the scene to pursue Spock. Spock has already been successful, though. The blackhole begins to form but he has already realized he is not destined to escape. Nevertheless, the Narada, hell-bent on revenge and destruction arrives on scene. They both disappear into the blackhole, along with the Hobus threat. A hero is lost.
Calm returns to the stars.
