For Lieutenant Max Richards, leave was not an option. For the first month, after their return, he took the leave, hoping to be reassigned to Moon Base Alpha. Then, any mention of the base was almost forbidden. Max then put in for a position as engineer aboard the USS Santiago, another Nova-class starship. He wasn't their chief, but he was back aboard a starship. Working, just what he wanted to be doing. He had also managed to keep himself out of trouble. His brief stint with the Columbia had given him a taste of something he really wanted. He wasn't going to let his temper ruin that from now on.
