I am Vanik. I am the Alpha shift helm officer. I hace recentluy been promoted to :t. Commander. I am Selevian andyes. I have taken the Vow of Celibacy, members of our race have to take to be with Starfleet.
Starfleet makes our race take this oath because of a natural ability, calles the Knack. It is an almost suggestive influence effect we hace on non-members of our species. Theoretically, we could suggest any other being we wanted into bed.
Thisis a very difficult oath to maintain, but (to me) well worth it. Plus... ::says with a wink:: ... we have our ways around it.
